Best Friends

My best friend from high school, Ashley, finally was able to come and visit us last week. She brought her new baby girl, Claire, with her. Claire was born in October. I am so excited to see these two girls grow up together and be best buddies like their mommies. Below are some pictures from their visit.

Lane had her one month weigh-in and second Hep-B shot today. She did so amazing when she got her shot. She let out one "wahh" and then was her usual cute self. God has really blessed us with a calm baby. And now for the big news...she weighs 11lbs. and 12 oz. (she's a healthy little girl).

And in more exciting news...Brandon's sister, Ashley, is going to come and be a live-in nanny for Lane. I don't think words could do justice to the happiness and relief I feel that Lane will be cared for by her aunt. This is such an amazing answer to our prayers for Lane's childcare. Please continue to keep us all in your prayers, as this is going to be a big adjustment for us, but especially for Ashley as she moves from San Antonio to Fort Worth. (Woohoo! I am so excited. )

Back to Work

Well, I went back to work this week. Only for two half days...but I am tired. AND who would want to leave this precious little face...

I guess that I am fortunate to be able to pretty much set my own schedule and work only half days, but I would much rather be at home with Lane. We are still looking for suitable childcare for her, so please keep this in your prayers.

Go Wildcats, Go!

Our good friend, Svjetlana, sent this onesie for Lane. Not that she has to go to ACU, but it is where her parents met and fell in love. For all of you ACU alumni, Lane is doing her version of the wildcat claw.

Visitors

This is the completed puzzle that Brandon's family started at our house. I think it was one of the most difficult puzzles ever created.

This is Nick, Sarah, baby Blake, and Lane (in Sarah's arms). Blake is about four weeks older than Lane. We feel so blessed to have such good friends and know that our daughters will be good friends too.

Lanes cute little "monkey" feet (as Brandon calls them). The girl has got HUGE feet. She is wearing newborn clothes and 3-6 month old socks!!! Hopefully she will grow into them.

I was trying to get a photo of her feet facing the camera and she just would not cooperate...this was the resulting picture. Little stinker.
