Ode to Meagan...my little sister
My sister, Meagan, graduated from Oklahoma Christian yesterday. More than that she graduated Suma Cum Laude (with a gpa above 3.85). She has worked really hard for four years and already has a job at a prestigious accounting firm in Oklahoma City.
Meagan is the one smiling at the camera.

And finally...the graduate...I am so proud of her...she takes after her bigger sister (JK, Meagan...LOL)

Sleepy time with Mommy. Two exhausted girls.

Lane watching the one of the Spurs playoff games...it was a nail-biter.

Growing...
Lane weighs 14lbs. 4 oz. and is 26 inches long. She's a growin', that's for sure. Here are some pictures from today playing in her exersaucer and with her buddy, Blake.

Blake is one month older than Lane, and she is doing so well at pushing herself up and rolling over. Lane just sort of lays there...oh well, all in good time.

4 Months Old...Today!
Lane loves to read her books.

And she loves to watch TV (which we try not to encourage too much)

Here she is with Aunt Ashley watching "Sense and Sensibility"

We are also working on "tummy time" at this point...not much head lifting yet...
but we'll get there

And one of her favorite past times is bath time...she loves playing in the water.

Lane has her 4 month check-up tomorrow, so I will post her length and weight as soon as I know. But I can report that at 4 months she is wearing 6 month clothing b/c she is so long.

April Showers
I threw a shower for my sister this past weekend.

Meagan opening one of her many gifts.

Lane and her friend Claire.

The scene after the shower...Memaw and Lane sacked out. Thanks Memaw for all of your help!

Nap Time
This is what I came home to today after working all morning.
My two babies asleep together on the couch.

Tummy Time

So we have been doing tummy time for awhile now and Lane is not a big fan.

But we still practice everyday.

And after we get upset with tummy time, we roll over and everything is great again.

Growing like a Weed!

Our little girl is just growing and growing. Practically what that means is frequent feeding, crying desperately for food--NOW, lots of poopy diapers, long naps, and mommy continuing to lose weight. Okay, so seriously, I know that it is nothing to complain about, but if I have one more person say to me, "You are getting so skinny," or "You have lost so much weight!" So, YES world, I know that I am losing weight and all of my pants are falling off of me (literally)...I had a co-worker nearly pantsed me the other day. Anyway, I am grateful that I have the losing weight problem rather than the gaining weight problem. I'm just tired of people commenting on my body. That's all.

Lane is so amazing. I think she is going to be an early talker. She has, several times now, said, "Mama" very clearly (accidentally, of course) but all the same...I am so excited about watching her grow and seeing what she meant to become.
ROAD TRIP TO MEMAW AND GEPAW'S HOUSE

Here are some pictures from our trip to San Antonio to see MeMaw and GePaw.

Justin feeding Lane. Shannon supervising.

MeMaw went all out for our visit. She decked out our room with a crib and changing table for Lane. It made our visit so much easier.

Memaw giving Lane a bath in the sink. Lane sure does love the water. She is going to be such a good swimmer.

Head shot from our family photo shoot. I will download those pictures when they come in.
