IT'S A JUNGLE OUT THERE!
We are on vacation this week, hanging out at home and doing things that need to get done. This morning we went to the Fort Worth Zoo with our good friends Sarah, Blake, and Nick.

The giraffs were by far the most entertaining. The baby giraff was running around, it was so cute!

Lane's BFF, Blake, invited her over to go swimming Sunday night. They had a blast. Lane had to go ala naturale since she doesn't have a swimsuit.

My sister bought her these cute sunglasses. Her noes is too small to hold them up, but they are still very cute.

ETSY here I come!

So I have finally joined etsy.com. I have a number of few creative friends that sell items on etsy and I have finally joined the creative masses in trying to sell my stuff on the web. We'll see. All of the proceeds will go into an account for Lane's college tuition...so look at what is there and buy, buy, buy if you like something. I think I am also going to do custom orders on the picture frames with names or scriptures.

B-I-G Girl!

We went to Lane's 6 month check-up today. She weighs 17 lbs 3 oz.(50-75%ile), is 28 1/4 inches long (>95%ile), and her head circ. is 17 3/4 inches (95%ile). The doctor said that she is a big baby. He also said that she has waxy ears (thanks Daddy). She is completely healthy and we are done with shots for at least another three months.

Thank you Gepaw and Memaw for my monkey (shown above) and my rockin' 1/2 birthday hat. Mommy says I look so adorable in it...I don't know what that means but she smiles when she says it, so it must be good. Can't wait to see you next week.

FRAGGLE ROCK! Aunt Ashley has introduced one of the classics to Lane and she loves it!

Here is a picture of Lane sleeping in her crib for the first full night...I know, I know, I am sure some of you are gasping in horror that at almost 6 months she is sleeping in her own room for the first time. She has been sleeping in her pack-n-play in our bedroom since she was born. She was such a good sleeper from the beginning that we never got to the point of putting her in her own room for us to get some sleep. Anyway, I know that it is time for this transition but it was a difficult one.

This is how I found her this morning when I went to wake her up to eat.

And here she is in her Polo dress that she is too tall for now...so sad. She is growing too fast!

An Important Message from Lane...

ACU sends out free "Born to be a Wildcat" onesies to children of alumni. This is Lane sporting her size 12 month onesie.

We finally got a Bumbo chair, even if we are borrowing it. Lane absolutely loves it. She prefers sitting up now. This is her sitting and watching TV with daddy.

This what they were watching, "Bear in the Big Blue House." Brandon used to watch this on TV with some of his roommates in college, so we bought Lane a DVD. This was the inaugural viewing...and she was riveted...so was Brandon.
