Finally...I'm in Owl Nirvana
So all-in-all I have made three owls for Lane's room. The first one was a disaster and it promptly got trashed. The second was okay but too small and again not really what I had invisioned in my mind. So yesterday, I had some free time and got to task with formulating my own pattern and got to sewing...and here is the result...and I love it. I have some material left over, so I think I am going to make it a smaller friend.

That is a really great owl and now that I see what you had in mind I understand why the other's didn't fit into your picture. Great job and I bet Lane loves it.
